Christo's & Shakers: Orlando's Breakfast TableFor a true Orlando breakfast treat, come hang out with the locals in College Park at Christo’s or Shakers on Edgewater Drive. College Park lies literally minutes west of downtown Orlando. Its shops and cafes cluster along trendy Edgewater Drive. Don’t be surprised to wait for a table on the weekend. Both cafes are very popular establishments. Christo’s is a little grittier. It seems to overflow from a shabby little building crowded with plastic tables and metal folding chairs. (Try the Fowl Play omelet here!) Shaker’s derives its name from the enormous collection of salt and pepper shakers on display on the tables and walls. Both are very casual, delicious, and affordable. Each is the kind of authentic slice of Americana lacking in so many neighborhoods.
