Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop: No, There's No Cold SlabOk, so it’s not unique to Orlando, but it is still one of the only two locations on the East Coast. Ghirardelli Chocolate, in Downtown Disney, the Village side, is actually an ice cream and chocolate shop. We love both, and if you’re a chocolate lover, you absolutely cannot beat this. Visit the store and sample some of their yummy confections. They have the traditional Ghirardelli Squares as well as chocolate covered strawberries, seasonal selections, and beautifully packaged gift assortments. We like to have dessert next door in the soda fountain. Even if you’re not a big fan of the cocoa flavor, you’ll definitely enjoy some of their other treats. They serve the classics, a giant traditional banana split or a hot fudge brownie sundae with their absolutely delicious hot fudge sauce, as well as newer versions of the classic ice cream sundaes. You can also choose from their decadent shakes, floats, malts, and coffee-infused drinks. The soda jerks wear traditional white shirts, blue aprons, and paper hats, and everything is served in old-fashioned tall glass goblets and flutes.
